Item(s) will be automatically renewed two times, three days before the due date unless there is a hold on it. You will receive an email with the new due dates. You must have an email on your account with the SCW Rec Center to receive emails. You can also log into your library account to see if they will be renewed and what the new due date is. To learn how to access your account see the FAQ question above: How do I access my library account?
To put an item on hold, log into your library catalog account and then search for the item in the catalog. Now click the “Place Hold” button to the right of the item you want, then “Submit Hold Request.” If you cannot place a hold through your account, you can call the library’s main line at 623-544-6130 or come into the library and talk to staff in the Information Center. When the hold is ready to be picked up it will be at the checkout desk in the library.
You can suggest an item for the library to purchase in person at the library, or digitally through the catalog.
To suggest an item in person, go to the checkout desk and ask for a Purchase Suggestion form. Fill out the form and give it back to a volunteer at the checkout desk.
To suggest an item digitally, sign into your library catalog account and click on the “Services” link on the menu bar. Under "More Services" click "Purchase Suggestions." Fill out the purchase suggestion and click “Submit your suggestion”.
Due to a large number of recommendations, however, it is not possible to purchase every item. Recommendations are not needed for best sellers or box office hits.
