What is the Homebound service?
Homebound is a free service that provides patrons access to library materials through delivery by U.S. mail.
Who can use Homebound?
The homebound program can deliver books, audiobooks on CD, Blu-rays and DVDs to Sun City West Residents (with active Rec Card accounts) who are homebound and cannot get to the Library because of illness, disability or lack of transportation.
How do I apply for Homebound?
Step 1. Fill out the application or call the library.
Step 2. Submit online or print and mail application to library. (13801 W Meeker Blvd.)
Step 3. We'll contact you after reviewing the application.
Step 4. We'll mail out your items. You should receive your items after a week or two.

Delivery can be short or long-term depending upon the patron's needs.
Any large or regular print book, audiobooks (Books on CD) and movies, both Blue-Ray and standard DVD format, can be checked out through the Homebound program.
You may request specific titles from our library. You may also have a staff member select materials based on your interests.
When your enrollment form is received, someone will contact you within one week to verify your information & discuss your reading preferences. Once your application is complete, books will be selected and mailed out to you. Mail pickup is once daily, Tuesday – Saturday. On average, it takes 2 days for you to receive a book bag at your home.
The total limit of all items is 6. No more than 2 DVD’s can be sent at a time.
You will have 30 days for books and Books on CD, and 2 weeks for DVDs and Blu-rays.
